What it is for
The Quick4 Standard is an open-bottom plastic chamber used to build septic leach fields (drain fields) without a gravel bed. Chambers latch together end to end to form a continuous void over the trench bottom, where effluent spreads out and soaks into the soil.
Infiltrator says the Quick4 Standard fits a 36-inch-wide trench, suits curved or straight systems, and uses a Contour Swivel Connection that allows turns of up to 10°. The MultiPort endcap offers several molded inlet and outlet positions, so fewer fittings are needed.
Sizing considerations
- Design comes first. The number of chambers depends on the design flow, the soil evaluation or percolation results, and your state's chamber design manual. Most jurisdictions require a permitted design.
- Trench layout: the 48-inch effective length per chamber sets trench lengths. Remember to allow for endcaps.
- Cover and loading: check minimum cover depths, and keep vehicles off the field unless the design allows for it.
